As you can see in the report below posted by an Iranian human rights activist Masih Alinejad, a 13-year-old Iranian girl was beheaded in her sleep by her own father in a so-called “honor killing."
The incident occurred in the city of Talesh in the northern province of Gilan.
Children have no protection under the law in Iran, this fact alone explains the rising numbers of child marriages, discrimination against girl children, honor killings and the execution of minors.
Being a woman and a child, makes Iranian girl children the most vulnerable under the Ayatollah regime since the rights of girl children and women are neither protected nor promoted in Iran.
Civil and Penal codes in Iran do not clarify limits on physical punishment by parents. Fathers are not punished even for killing their daughters, because they are considered owner of their children’s blood.
Since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the parliament has drastically changed the status of women and abolished laws protecting the rights of children (especially girls).
