While the Coronavirus is spreading in Iran and taking the lives of thousands of people, Sharia police continue to persecute women who do not obey the Islamic dress code.
As you can see in the video below, Sharia police attacked a woman without a veil and tried to run over people who came to protect her.
Women in Iran are not allowed to sing, dance or even show their hair in public.
Under Iran's male guardianship law a woman cannot leave the home without the permission of her male guardian which includes her father, brother, uncle and even her son.
Iran's women have no freedom, no human rights and no autonomy over their own bodies.
The video below was shared by Iranian-American human rights activist Masih Alinejad with the following description:
"Today morality police attacked a woman for not wearing a hijab in the city of Rasht. People came to her help but police used pepper spray & almost ran over the crowd. In this #coronavirus time Islamic Republic officials have enough money to oppress women. #MyCameraIsMyWeapon"
