This is a story of one girl that has been able to fight back and escape a brutal tradition of forced marriage.
Please watch the report below by 7NEWS Sydney that was posted on social media with the following description:
"..Tasneem Fakhoury, a former child bride was sent to Lebanon as a 14yo, where she married a man ten years her senior.
Tasneem stayed in that abusive relationship for nearly four years before finally managing to return to Australia.
She is now 20-years-old and is determined to help other young girls and women at risk of forced marriage and in abusive relationships."

An estimated 15 million girls under 18 are married each year.
Girls who marry before they turn 18 are less likely to remain in school and more likely to experience domestic violence. Everything possible must be done to protect these vulnerable children.
UN, US, EU & ICC must take action and impose sanctions against any country that does not protect Children's rights.
Under Sharia law girls can marry at the age of 6, just like the Prophet Muhammad from the Koran did when he married Aisha. Muhammad consummated his marriage with Aisha when she was nine.
